Yoga
What is Yoga ?
Yoga is a form of workout that involves meditation, breathing techniques and various postures. Yoga originated in India and it has been practiced for thousands of years and people have greatly benefited from it.
The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word “Yuj” which means to yoke, join or unite. This indicates joining or combining all aspects of the individual – body with mind and mind with soul – to achieve physical, mental and spiritual health.
Businessmen, young adults, housewives, sportspeople including the elderly are all involved nowadays in practicing various yoga exercises, meditation, relaxation techniques and breathing exercises. For a lot of people, yoga has become part of their lifestyle, usually providing an added spiritual aspect to people’s lives, although it might not be associated with religion. Some people believe that constant exposure to stressful situations is the reason behind most of our modern-day health problems
